The problems with becoming Educated
I had this GREAT idea, I would research campaign donations, figure out how campaigns get people to donate by using what type of appeals. I was going to collect massive amounts of data, figure everything out and have a paper to be submitted.
But someone else has already beat me to the punch. (And she doesn't even have a mustache)

No, no. You've got it all wrong. This is GREAT news. She's only studied one type of appeal: the policy change threat. She's left all the other types free for study. So she's narrowed your focus down for you. And by doing the study she's also mapped out, tried and demonstrated one possible methodology for you to review. Nice. She hasn't done your research, she's laid some foundation for it and her thesis will be part of your background research. Cool. ;-D
