Brainwashing

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed. Yet I am anxious and enthusiastic.

The rigors of grad school are exactly that, rigorous. In a previous environment, I would laugh jokingly about the perceived culture at my undergraduate institutions of busy-ness. A typical conversation in the midst of the semester would start, "man, I'm so busy" to which the proper reply was "I know what you mean, I've got so much work to do."

Yet life has caused me to realize that II enjoy that environment (all of this in 10 weeks 3 times a year), or at least I seem to have signed up for another 4-6 years of it. The key is enjoying where you're at, and not complaining.

i too enjoy that business... i don't exactly know why, but there's some kind of rush that goes with midterms and finals. and it's so gratifying to finish those 10 weeks! never gets old!

Or you can realize that, compared to some people, you got it made in the shade.

Hey, we're going to Portland Maine next week. Any tips?
